West Ham manager David Moyes is expected to hold discussions with Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard after the Red Devils play Wolves this evening, according to exWHUemployee.

It was confirmed yesterday that Kurt Zouma has joined on a permanent deal from Chelsea and, speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, Ex suggested that Moyes is hopeful of getting another signing in through the door very soon:

“I was also told that the Lingard situation is looking a lot brighter with Moyes hoping to meet with him tomorrow [Sunday] after the Wolves game to discuss signing for the club.”

We shall see how the meeting goes but it is believed that Moyes is optimistic about persuading Lingard to move to the London Stadium before the transfer window closes.

The 28-year-old was hoping to resurrect his career at Old Trafford after his successful loan spell at the Hammers last season, but he has only made one substitute appearance so far.

Lingard came on for the final five minutes of the 1-1 draw against Southampton last weekend, but it’s clear that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t see him as a key first-team player.
