Brentford are expected to demand £30m for striker Ivan Toney this summer, according to reports in the English media.

West Ham, Arsenal, Leeds and Leicester have been mentioned as potential suitors for the 25-year-old, who has scored 29 goals in 42 appearances for the Bees this season.

However, Toney has not been in great form recently, having scored just once in his last six appearances, leading to a debate on Twitter about whether the forward would be worth the outlay:

Hammers boss David Moyes would be taking a chance if he did shell out on Toney this summer, but he has done it previously, having spent £25m on Jarrod Bowen from Hull, which turned out to be a success.

Toney is certainly the type of striker who would fit the club’s style of play, and if he can replicate even some of the form he has managed in the Championship, the Irons could be on to a winner.
