West Ham attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson is trying to engineer a move back to Lazio, according to reports in the English media.
The Brazilian is currently on holiday in Italy and it has been claimed that talks have begun about a potential switch to the Serie A club, just two seasons after leaving.
Supporters on Twitter have been debating whether the Hammers should sell Anderson this summer:
Sell immediately

Keep !Our best player since Payet !Sure he has not had a good season. But pre lockdown the whole squad has been poor. But like the rest of the squad he needs a good pre season under Moyes. He will come good again.Confidence is the key.

At this point we need to sell him but I’ve never wanted a player to work out so much

Sell. He obviously doesn’t want to be here.

Must keep, he is a great player, if the team are set up properly and let him do his job he is a major asset, we can’t have our best attacking player always having to cover defensively, a decent pacy fullback behind him will free him up to do what he does best, create and score ⚒

Definitely Sell!! Didn’t seem interested at playing for us at all went proper lazy!!

Keep, he has had one disappointing season. We know there is a world class player there one more season and if no good then get rid

Sell, he really has underperformed this season. Use the cash on top end hungry Championship players (that understand English Football) and build a team.

Keep. One good season, one bad. Bring in a good left back to play behind him and he will shine again. He didn’t sign up to play in a relegation battle, too talented to sell and we inevitably won’t get the correct to spend if we do anyway. I have no faith in the boards business ⚒

West Ham are highly unlikely to get anywhere close to the £36m they paid for the 27-year-old in 2018, with reliable journalist Sam Inkersole even suggesting that they may have to take a £6m to £11m hit on the player.
However, considering the financial impact of the global health crisis, they may not even receive a transfer offer this summer, and a loan departure cannot be ruled out if they can take his wages off their books, and a decent loan fee is offered.
