West Ham are considering whether to make a move for either Ben Brereton Diaz or Armando Broja before the January transfer window closes, according to reports in England.

Both deals are like to be difficult to negotiate before Monday’s deadline and supporters on Twitter have been debating whether either player could be brought in:

With Brereton Diaz valued at around £30m, the Chilean international would be an expensive purchase, especially for someone who has only recently found his touch in front of goal.

The 22-year-old had only scored nine goals in 88 appearances for Blackburn before hitting 20 in all competitions this season.

A move for Broja also has its own problems. The Chelsea striker is currently on loan at Southampton until the end of the campaign, and there is a strong possibility that a deal could only be done for the summer.

With West Ham needing to reinforce their forward options now, it would be a massive risk to leave themselves short for the second half of the season when they still have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
