Roma will demand €80m (around £67m) for Tammy Abraham if Arsenal want to sign the England international this summer, according to reports in England.
The Serie A side signed the striker from Chelsea for £34m last year, and he has gone on to score 24 goals in all competitions. However, Abraham’s price tag has not gone down with Gunners fans on Twitter:
That’s ridiculous.

They better not spend that much on Tammy… Osimhen/Nunez is way better. Would even prefer DCL to Tammy any day
— taye (@bhaelo) April 26, 2022
I would rather spend 80 mill on Osimhen.

80 mil?? Nope spend that on Darwin

Give me Osimhen and Jesus.
That’s all I need.

Abraham is just overrated for no apparent reason

Chelsea do have a buyback option for €80m, which comes into effect in 2023, so it appears Roma will simply tell other clubs to match that fee.
It is an extremely high price, especially when you consider the fact that Arsenal are hoping to secure the services of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus for just £35m.
Of course, their situations are different. Jesus is nearing the final year of his contract, whilst Abraham is only a season into his five-year deal with Roma. However, if the Giallorossi stick to their guns, it’s likely that the Gunners will be shopping elsewhere.
