Chelsea have joined the teams pursuing Ajax winger Antony, according to reports in the English media.
The Brazilian international’s performances have caught the attention of the Blues’ scouts but they won’t be the only Premier League team looking to sign the player in the summer.
Liverpool and Manchester City both have a longstanding interest in Antony, going back to his time at Sao Paulo, while Manchester United have also recently entered the fray as they consider replacements for Mason Greenwood.
Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag has praised Antony as an “incredible talent” and he doesn’t think he’ll remain at the Eredivisie champions for long, with so many teams taking a keen interest in the Brazilian.
The 21-year-old has reportedly made England his number one destination if he leaves Amsterdam, so Chelsea would certainly be in contention for the player’s signature when he does decide to move on from his current club.
