Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel would have been a lot happier with his players after they took apart Southampton at the weekend, but the task ahead of them at the Bernabeu this evening is still a daunting one.
Recovering a two-goal deficit away from home in a Champions League quarter-final is a huge challenge but not an insurmountable one, considering what we’ve seen from this team since Tuchel took charge fifteen months ago.
Defensively, they will have to be a lot better than they were at Stamford Bridge but some personnel changes from the first leg should help strengthen their backline.
