Chelsea will have a “big chance” of signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer if they are able to come up with the necessary funds, according to BILD journalist Christian Falk.
Speaking on Twitch, the German reporter likened the situation to the Blues’ swoop for Kai Havertz last summer, when the London club took advantage of the global health crisis to make a deal happen:

As Falk points out, though, Chelsea will have to break their transfer record to sign Haaland. Reports suggest that Dortmund may demand around £150m for the Norwegian international.
It is effectively double what they paid for Havertz, and it is a huge outlay, which makes the deal a long shot at this stage. Of course, the situation could change dramatically in the coming weeks, and out of all the clubs interested in Haaland, Chelsea are undoubtedly in the best position to seal the transfer.
If you look at the other contenders: Real Madrid and Barcelona have financial problems, Manchester City are focusing on deals for Harry Kane and Jack Grealish while Manchester United have splashed out on Jadon Sancho.
