Crystal Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman watched Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo in the 3-0 defeat to Celtic on Wednesday night, according to reports in the UK.

The Eagles are said to be looking at possible replacements for Conor Gallagher, who will return to Chelsea at the end of the season, and they have identified Aribo as their top target.

It is believed that the Gers have slapped a £10m asking price on the Nigerian international, who will be closing in on the final twelve months of his contract at Ibrox in the summer.

Aribo may be tempted by the chance of returning home to London, with the added incentive of playing in the Premier League for the first time. However, if the Bears do win their second consecutive league title this campaign, they could offer him Champions League football. Of course, much will depend on whether Palace are prepared to meet the midfielder’s price tag.
