Rangers have not made a bid for Bologna winger Andreas Skov Olsen, according to the Scottish Sun.

Reports coming out of Italy over the past 24 hours have claimed that the Light Blues have tabled a £5m offer for the 22-year-old but that is believed to be incorrect.

Olsen, who has 15 caps for Denmark, has been on the Gers’ radar in the past but it appears that he won’t be making the switch to Ibrox during the January transfer window.

The Scottish Sun say that manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is exploring “alternative” transfer targets, although they don’t go into detail about who he may be pursuing.

One player who does look set to seal a move to Rangers in the coming days, though, is New York City utility player James Sands. The American international is expected to join the Scottish champions on an eighteen-month loan deal, with an option to buy.
