Rangers have been ranked fourth among the “best UK football clubs to manage” based on statistics collected by OLBG.com.

The website looked at the average length of time a manager spent at each club over their entire history. The Gers’ Old Firm rivals Celtic came out on top with an average of 5 years and seven months.

Liverpool were second, Manchester United third, Rangers fourth (5 years and one month), with West Ham rounding out the top five. Arsenal, Aberdeen, Everton, Wolves and Sheffield United took positions six to tenth respectively.

In terms of the worst football clubs to manage, there were actually two Scottish clubs at the bottom of the pile, with Livingston (1 year and four months) and Hibernian (1 year and eight months) the likeliest to get rid of their managers.

Rangers are so high up thanks to the likes of William Wilton, Bill Struth and Scot Symon whose three tenures lasted an extraordinary 68 years between 1899 and 1967.
