Rangers will take on Brighton & Hove Albion in a friendly at Ibrox on July 24th, the club have confirmed.
Fans on Twitter could not help but point out that the Light Blues may come up against a familiar face in former Celtic loanee Shane Duffy, who struggled during his spell with the Hoops last season:

Duffy will be praying for an empty stadium. But then again, he deserves a lap of honour for his 55 service.

To be honest, it would be a surprise if we saw Duffy in action, considering he is thought to be not in Seagulls boss Graham Potter’s plans for the new campaign.
There have been a number of reports linking him with a move to the English Championship, although a departure is not believed to be imminent.
Whether that will change before the friendly later this month, we shall have to wait and see, but if he is at the game (and fans are allowed in the stadium), he can expect to be a figure of fun for the evening.
