West Ham are unlikely to sign Inter Milan attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen during the January transfer window, according to insider ExWHUemployee.
Reports in Italy have suggested that the Hammers made a formal approach for the former Spurs player but it is believed that any switch to the London Stadium would be difficult due to the player’s wage demands.
Eriksen has also been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain and supporters on Twitter believe it was always a long shot trying to snap up the Danish international:

Yeah I’d love to have him but we have way bigger priorities. Desperately need cover for Rice and Soucek and an alternative to Haller if Antonio gets injured again. Fornals, Benrahma and Lanzini can all play the role that Eriksen does at a decent level

To be honest, West Ham don’t really have space for a number 10 anyway, considering that manager David Moyes has mostly played a 3-4-3 formation for the majority of the season.
He has been employing a 4-3-3 system more often in recent weeks, but even then, he does have other options to call upon, such as Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini or even Said Benrahma if he wants to use a playmaker.
