Arsenal Among Six PL Clubs ‘Keeping A Close Eye’ On Midfield Maestro Who Was The Subject Of Late 50M January Bid

Arsenal are “keeping a close eye” on Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips’ contract situation, according to 90min.com journalist Graeme Bailey.

Phillips’ club have yet to open talks over a new deal despite his agent having spoken out earlier this month to confirm the player is keen to extend his stay at Elland Road.

The England international’s current contract expires in 2024 but he was the subject of a £50m bid from West Ham during the January transfer window, and his representative Kevin Sharp has used the offer to effectively pitch for an extension.

If Leeds are not interested in improving Phillips’ salary and giving him a long-term deal, then there is an opening for the likes of the Gunners to make their move.
