Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah didn’t get on the scoresheet against West Ham yesterday evening but he was, nonetheless, heavily involved as the Gunners’ secured a vital 2-1 win at the London Stadium.
The 22-year-old had four shots on target, which was just as many as Alexandre Lacazette had managed in his previous NINE Premier League matches.
Nketiah’s all-round game is improving too, linking up well with his teammates and holding up the ball when required. Fans on Twitter were very impressed with what they saw from the striker:
He was absolutely brilliant. Deserved a goal

I think a top class striker is what Nketiah is gradually developing into tbh. He was a one-man counter attack and I doubt there are a lot of supposed “top class strikers” that can do what he did today. He just lacked a bit of finishing. Sign another striker but we Keep Nketiah.

The former England Under 21 international is certainly playing like he has something to prove, but there are still massive question marks over his future at the Emirates.
Nketiah’s current deal expires in June, and he has shown no real interest in extending his stay. Hopefully, if he continues to start games, he may be persuaded to sign a new contract with the club.
