Arsenal are “in talks” to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.
The German reporter claims the Gunners, Tottenham, Everton, Napoli and Roma are all looking to snap up the Swiss star:

Zakaria, who plays alongside Granit Xhaka at international level, has less than a year left on his contract at Gladbach, with the Bundesliga side’s sporting director Max Eberl having confirmed that the player’s departure could be sealed in “the next few days.”
It does seem as though Arsenal are scouring the market to strengthen their options in midfield. Lens midfielder Cheick Doucoure has been linked with a switch to the Emirates over the past week, while there has also been a lot of talk surrounding moves for Sheffield United’s Sander Berge and Lyon’s Bruno Guimaraes.
However, due to Zakaria’s contract situation, the 24-year-old would seem to be better value for money than the other names being considered.
