Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale took a lot of flak after he was signed from Sheffield United for an initial £24m.

Many felt that the 23-year-old was not worth the money, but after his performances over the last couple of matches, some supporters on Twitter are beginning to change their minds:

It must be said that it is only two league games, and while Ramsdale did do very well against Burnley, there were a couple of nervy moments, so it’s probably wise not to rush to judgement about the shot-stopper.

Even so, there are some very positive signs. Ramsdale looks confident and he seems to have embraced the move to a bigger club with both hands. He has also begun to ingratiate himself to fans both in the stadium and on social media.

Whether he’ll keep the number one jersey for the long term will depend on how he performs over the coming weeks.
