Former Tottenham fullback Serge Aurier would be open to joining Arsenal if the opportunity arose, according to reports in the English media.
The Ivorian international failed to secure a move before the transfer window closed and was allowed to leave Spurs on a free transfer in order to find a new club.
Aurier’s connections with the club’s North London rivals, combined with his poor performances during his four years in England, have led fans on Twitter to urge the Gunners not to sign him:

It seems highly unlikely that Arsenal would consider a move for Aurier anyway, considering they are already well-stocked at right-back.
Not only have they secured the signing of Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna on deadline day, but they also have Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers who can play in the same position as Aurier.
The 28-year-old was seen as a defensive liability for Tottenham at times, and the Gunners could do without snapping up yet another reject from one of their rivals.
