Arsenal are putting plans in place to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, according to reports in the German media.
The Gunners will press ahead with their move for the Frenchman if they qualify for the Champions League, but Leverkusen won’t make things easy for them, with the Bundesliga side expected to demand around €75m (£63m) for the player.
Although Diaby has had an excellent season for Leverkusen, supporters on Twitter have still been questioning his price tag and whether he should be a priority signing:
Good player would be perfect competition for saka on the right but that’s way too much

Diaby’s numbers are very impressive. 16 goals and 13 assists in 40 appearances demonstrate that the 22-year-old has really kicked on this campaign.
Other Premier League teams, including Newcastle, Manchester United and Chelsea, have also reportedly kept tabs on the player, which is unsurprising, considering his form, but it does appear as if Arsenal are favourites currently. Whether they will meet Leverkusen’s valuation, though, we shall have to wait and see.
