Liverpool could have, at least, three first-team players out when Arsenal travel to Anfield on Saturday.
Roberto Firmino will definitely be absent after picking up a hamstring injury, while captain Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane picked up knocks on international duty.
Supporters on Twitter have been debating whether the trio’s absence will have an effect on the Gunners’ ability to get a result against the Reds this weekend:
We beating them 3:0 then

The worst part is, if this is true, I still see us struggling despite our good form

This doesn’t really change anything. We need to remain focused because we need to remain consistent and not slack for a second. Liverpool are still very strong and will be like a wounded lion because of that loss to west ham.

If mane and firmino are not playing then huge chance for arsenal to win. Mane is our kryptonite.

They have an aging squad. They’ve started picking up injuries largely a result of how they play. On the other hand we have a very young squad whose intensity can go a level up. Our game against Liverpool will show how much improvement we need to make. Exciting times for Arsenal

We’ll only lose by 2 then

Arsenal do have their own injury concerns ahead of the Liverpool game, with Thomas Partey a major doubt due to a groin problem.
However, Liverpool currently have NINE squad players on the sidelines, with Andy Robertson now also on the treatment table after picking up a muscular injury late on in Scotland’s win over Denmark last night.
It means there is every chance that the Gunners will face a weakened team and that should give Mikel Arteta’s side hope of securing a good result.
