Rangers are interested in America de Cali winger Santiago Moreno, according to reports in the UK.
The Colombian has yet to be capped at senior level but his appearances for his club side in the Copa Libertadores mean he is likely to be eligible for a UK work permit, following the rule changes brought in by Brexit.
Moreno has already been compared to Liverpool’s Sadio Mane by some sections of the media, with his direct running and speed making him a threat from either wing.
It is believed that America de Cali would demand around £5m for the 21-year-old so it remains to be seen whether the Light Blues would be prepared to stump up the cash for the player.
Manager Steven Gerrard is likely to be keen to strengthen his options out wide, with the likes of Joe Aribo and Kemar Roofe having to play out of position on the right flank at times this season.
