After getting off to a fantastic start to his Rangers career by scoring on his debut, Amad Diallo has found things a lot more difficult in recent matches.
The Manchester United loanee was sent on for the last 20 minutes by manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst against Dundee United yesterday but he missed a big chance when through one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Supporters on Twitter feel Diallo’s inexperience is showing and they are concerned about his willingness to fight for the cause as they look to keep their title challenge on track:
Looks overwhelmed

The success rate of young Premier league loanees at the most is 1 in 10. Its a pointless market. Theyre not interested and none of them go on to do anything in the game

The problem is at the age of 19 being bought and sold for silly money and earning mental wages. He probably thinks he’s already made it and doesn’t need to put the effort in, hopefully I’m proven wrong but I don’t hold out much hope at the moment.

Diallo is 19 years of age so, inevitably, there will be games where he doesn’t perform well. There is no doubt, though, that he will have to toughen up. The Ivorian is very much still a boy and he will need to learn fast if he is going to make significant contributions in the second half of the season.
It was always a gamble bringing in the youngster on loan, but he does possess a lot of talent, and it will be hoped he can show what he is all about in the coming weeks.
