The Red Devils are one of several Premier League teams who have taken a keen interest in the 15-year-old, who has scored over 40 goals in youth football for the Gers.
Manchester City and Liverpool are also said to be keen on snapping up Wilson, while Aston Villa were previously believed to be leading the race for the teenager, with former manager Steven Gerrard likely to have instigated the pursuit of the striker.
However, there are suggestions that the Scotland Under 17 international could yet reject the overtures from Premier League teams in order to stay at Ibrox.
It is believed that Rangers are still hopeful that Wilson will sign on to professional terms with the Scottish champions when he turns 16. Whether that happens, though, we shall have to wait and see.
