Porto are still interested in signing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.
There have been various reports in the Portuguese media claiming Porto want to snap up the Colombian international, although developments on that front have gone quiet over the past few days. However, Bridge says the Primeira Liga side have not stepped away from the deal:
“I think Porto are the club that still want him.”
It is believed that the gap in the two side’s valuations of the player is the main reason why Morelos has not left Ibrox up until now. Porto are said to be only willing to pay €12m (£10m) while the Light Blues are demanding around €15m (£13m).
With a month still to go in the transfer window, anything could still happen. In the meantime though, the 25-year-old is expected to be back in first-team training later this week after isolating for ten days following his return from Colombia.
