Arsenal are weighing up moves for Real Madrid pair Marco Asensio and Isco after cooling their interest in Martin Odegaard, according to reports in the Spanish media.

Real are said to be demanding around €50m (£42.5m) for Odegaard, who has been told by manager Carlo Ancelotti that he does have a future at the Bernabeu.

With that being the case, the Gunners have decided to turn their attention towards the Norwegian’s teammates. Asensio and Isco are both thought to be under consideration as potential targets by the London club.

Asensio (who has won the Champions League twice) and Isco (who has lifted the European Cup four times) are both reportedly on the market this summer.

Isco, who has been targeted by Arsenal in the past, has less than a year remaining on his contract at Real, and the 29-year-old would be a cheaper alternative if the Gunners can’t find another no.10 before the transfer window closes.

Mikel Arteta’s side are currently trying to sign James Maddison from Leicester but the 24-year-old’s £70m price tag could prove to be prohibitive.
