Arsenal have been offered Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele by “intermediaries” according to The Independent.
The Catalan club are looking to sign a striker and they would reportedly like to snap up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang next month.
However, the Gabonese international is not willing to take a pay cut and the only way Barca could afford his current salary is by offloading someone else who is on a similar wage.
Dembele is seen as the perfect candidate, considering he is thought to be on above £200,000 a week. The Frenchman will have six months left on his contract in January and has, so far, refused to sign an extension.
Barcelona are, therefore, keen to get some return on a player who was signed for €147m (£135.5m) back in 2017, but the decision will still be down to the player.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with Dembele in recent months and he will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement in just a couple of weeks’ time.
