Juventus are seriously considering making a bid for Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey this summer, according to Tuttosport.
The Italian newspaper claims that the Ghanaian international is being looked at, along with Lille’s Renato Sanches, as they seek to strengthen their options in midfield.
Juve reportedly looked at signing Partey before he made the switch to the Emirates but the Gunners eventually secured the midfielder’s signature by paying his £45m release clause.
Despite him becoming a key player for manager Mikel Arteta, Tuttosport claim that Arsenal may do business if Juventus can come up with €40m (£33.6m).
That would represent a sizeable loss on the part of the Gunners and, considering his importance to the team, it would be a surprise if the London club did decide to let him leave at the end of the season.
Arteta is in the process of building a squad, rather than dismantling it, so it’s probably wise to take this report with a large pinch of salt.
