With Martin Odegaard close to signing for Arsenal (at the time of writing), the focus of fans has shifted to potential additions further up the pitch.
There are still concerns that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may not have the all-round game to fit into manager Mikel Arteta’s system, while Alexandre Lacazette seems likely to depart before the end of the month if a buyer can be found.
With that in mind, supporters on Twitter have been thinking about potential striker targets, and a number of them are backing the club to go after Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin:
DCL would be the perfect fit.

I can only think one player that fits that bill. Dominic Calvert-lewin. That guy would have 20goals from just Tierney’s we don’t put away. #arsenal

Calvert-Lewin is a player who has been scouted by the Gunners but the cost of bringing him in before the transfer deadline could prove prohibitive.
One of Arsenal’s other targets, Tammy Abraham, has already joined Roma, so it remains to be seen whether a move will be made for Calvert-Lewin or another forward before the end of the month.
